Sony Reader PRS-600 6 inch Touch E-Reader

Upon first learning about E-readers (a short while after they emerged), I wasn't sure I believed they could ever take the place of a physical book. I've been a book forum member for a long time, and I was surprised to see so many book lovers switching from having the feel of a book in their hands to a digital machine. In time, I actually decided to try one myself.
It took some getting used to, but after putting my reservations aside, I'm seeing the appeal. Reading a classic novel on the right machine adds a lot of options to the experience. I've ended up using the Sony Reader PRS-600 6 inch Touch E-Reader, and as the first-time owner of an E-reader, I'm extremely impressed.
My little machine is very well-made. It's lightweight and sleek, and I can bring it (and my entire library of books) along with me wherever I go without a hitch. And, the library I mentioned is growing. The Sony E-reader can hold upwards of 350 books, and the battery has a lot of juice. That was one of the more important factors in my buying decision. Knowing the battery doesn't need a charge until 7,500 pages have been read (the equivalent of 30 books) makes it ideal for long trips.
Another nice feature is the six inch touchscreen. It's very clear and the size is good for casual reading. Text looks just like it does in a typical hardcover. It kind of makes you forget you're not reading a book, you know? I haven't tried other models yet, but I can say that the Sony Reader PRS-600 6 inch Touch E-Reader is great for beginners, especially skeptical ones. It's a breeze to use and with easy navigation and an electronic dictionary, it's a great value.
I've been reading some old favorites on my Sony E-Reader for over a month now, and I can say with certainty, I've been successfully converted. The Sony E-Reader is just the right size, can carry more books than I ever could if I needed to bring paperbacks with me on a flight, and I'm improving my vocabulary when I have a few minutes to play with. It's hands-down my favorite new toy.
