Canon EOS 60D DSLR Review

The arduous quest for DSLR cameras that can capture high quality images, print striking full color posters, and provide a simple intuitive interface has come to an end. The Canon EOS 60D camera has all of these features and much more.

Those with a flair for artistic shots often have to shoot with their digital SLR cameras then edit the image on Photoshop to add some effects. With the EOS 60D, this extra step is no longer necessary as it is possible to use effects right from the unit itself.

That’s not all. The budding filmmaker can also use the EOS 60D camera to shoot high definition videos in glorious 1080p resolution. Select manual mode for complete creative freedom. There is no need for an external microphone with a built-in mic with noise and volume adjustment. Once the clips have been shot, they can be readily viewed onscreen via HDMI cable to any compatible LDC television.

It also has a swivel screen that allows users to shoot from difficult angles with perfect composition. The camera can even be mounted on a monopod for added elevation above a crowd and still have the screen viewable for monitoring.

The camera has Canon’s state of the art Digic4 processor at its core which makes it blazing fast and is powerful enough to handle printing directly, with the need for a computer to facilitate the process. Photos taken may be viewed, printed, or shared on the Internet with a few simple taps. Like most DSLR cameras, images can be stored in RAW format.

The EOS 60D’s card reader accepts high capacity SDXC memory with up to 2TB of storage. It is compatible with Eye-Fi technology to enable the camera to connect to local Wi-Fi networks for instant file transfers to any remote computer.

Despite being a feature-filled camera, the EOS 60D does not intimidate and is, in fact, very easy to use.
